This client came to us with an idea for a new division, but no name. The products were architectural products that protect buildings against the weather. Sunshades, louvers, etc. The name Elemental was a perfect fit. We wanted this logo to be simple and down to earth.
Logo Design
Printed Collateral
The sales team wanted leave-behind material and we were up to the task. We created this pocket folder and large brochure to suit their needs. Our designs typically reflect the overall brand with the consistent use of the icon throughout the design.
Trade Show Booth Design
Trade show graphics are sometimes challenging. We saw this as an opportunity to showcase two of their products. This custom built booth has a window louver built into it and hanging over the top are architectural sunshades. The suspended TV monitor exhibits the many projects that show their success stories.
Custom Website Design
Our goal was to create a clean, simple site that showcases this client's success stories. We chose the URL www.gowithelemental.com as a call to action. With team photos that help the customer not only put a face to a name, but with a "unique" perspective and architectural feel. Check 'em out!
This is the journey of a logo. The TPM ColorLab logo has been through several iterations. It's morphed over the years in an effort to stay current. This client prints large format graphics and as times and styles change in the design industry, they want to keep a fresh look. However, the concept has remained the same. You're on dangerous ground when you change your branding too much too often.
TPM ColorLab
TPM ColorLab prints large format graphics and color output for multiple uses. We originally branded them 10 years ago using the a colored labrador retriever. People immediately identified with the dog and the client was happy to have a campaign with "legs" (ie, paws, the tag line: "Here Graphics, Here!", etc).
TPM ColorLab Original Logo Van Wrap
Since they deliver and print their own car wraps, it was an obvious solution to design a vehicle wrap to advertise their capabilities. This easily recognizable graphic was seen running all over town!
ColorLab Rebrand 2012
As time progressed, TPM decided they wanted to update their logo for the ColoLab. In keeping with the same concept, I still wanted something a little playful and yet a design that would show the variety in the kinds of products they offer. One color just wouldn't do for the "color" lab. This forward moving design gave them something to get excited about. A revised tagline offered some freedom to say, "Go crazy, use your imagination... design something wild!"
TPM ColorLab Large Brochure
This is a capabilities piece showcasing their work. It includes 8 pages of work from outdoor large format printing on concrete to small trade show booth panels.
The Marriott Hotel hired us to rebrand their restaurant and bar in Spartanburg, SC. They had names in mind, but when we took a look at them, we asked to give it a shot. We wanted the name to not only reflect the city, but give the restaurant an identity outside of the hotel. Many hotel restaurants get lost in the mix. This space has an open kitchen with a flaming grill right out in front for the patrons to enjoy. We felt the name Sparks lent itself to an exciting event with a local flare.
Sparks Restaurant Logo
This logo was a lot of fun to work on. The design had to be contemporary and yet conservative enough to fit into the hotel space. The open grill was my inspiration, but I didn't just want to show a flame. This restaurant is so much more than just flame grilled meat. It offers unique Southern fair with local veggies. The simple, yet unique font gives it a clean, contemporary feel without taking over the design. With a name like "Sparks" the logo needed to burst off the page!
Sparks Menu
This elegant menu has an easy insert page on the back so the items can be changed as often as necessary. The padded design with the stainless logo gives it a sophisticated feel and contemporary look.
Interior Sign
Since the entrance to this restaurant is inside the Marriott, we kept the sign simple and mounted to the wall as you enter. It is easily visible from the lobby and a draw for hotel guest. The area outside of the restaurant is a beautiful, redecorated bar called Mesh.
Mesh Logo
We were also hired to design a logo for the bar outside of Sparks restaurant. We wanted it to compliment the restaurant, but also stand on it's own. This simple, elegant design has an infinity symbol that show infinite possibilities for meeting new and exciting people.
Mesh Logo GoBo
We reflected this logo off the center wall in the space. in this beautifully decorated space, they offer food and beverages, fireplace lounging area, pool tables and a wii video gaming area.
Mesh Coffee Bar
In addition to adult beverages, Mesh is also a coffee bar. This sign is visible from the lobby area to draw patrons in for a lite bite and beverages.
In 1998, Carl Sobocinski built his dream, a restaurant of his own. Our desire was to create a brand that was as unique as the food and atmosphere he was creating. Along with Mike Goot, I designed this mark that has become a staple in our community for over 15 years.
Soby's Logo Design
This logo seemed to just come on the page on it's own. I've designed 100s of logos, but this one has a special place in my heart. After it's completion, I ended up creating an entire font out of these quirky letters. We used different color "o" symbols to communicate the ever changing and creative menu items. In 15 years, Soby's has been a great success and allowed Carl Sobocinski to open other restaurants to continue his dream.
Soby's Pocket folder
The sales team wanted a piece that would showcase all of their services. This folder was a small size, only 6" x 9" to create a compact packet of information.
Soby's Wine Label
It's not every day I get to design a wine label. Shug Wines partnered with Soby's to bring a house wine to be proud of.
Our client for over 12 years, we have watched this engineering firm grow from just a few people to over 60 employees and multiple locations including Alaska. AE Solutions designs safety flow systems for industrial plants.
AE Solutions Logo Design
Safety flow systems are at the heart of this design. AE Solutions designs a lifecycle system that is like no other. Their passion for design and attention to detail have made them leaders in their industry. This simple design became the inspiration for the Process Safety Lifecycle graphic that came years later.
AE Solutions Product Brochures
With multiple products and services, AE Solutions has much to offer. This series of brochures beautifully displays that. We color-coded each division which starts with their Process Safety Lifecycle graphic shown below.
Process Lifecycle Oval
As most people know, engineers love their flow charts and as a designer we love to hate them! I'm so proud that through a 2 year effort what was once a boring flow chart, has developed into this beautiful oval. Through many versions, tweaks and adjustments, we've simplified this down to the bare essentials that tell the story of their processes.
Lifecycle Flyer
This flyer tells the whole story of the lifecycle. The base on the oval breaks their company down into three divisions. Our desire was to create beautiful, colorful pieces that would help them stand out in an industry that typically is bland in their marketing.
Large Trade Show Booth
This dynamic booth has proven to be very successful for AE Solutions. We've simplified their story down to two major graphics. AE Shield is a software product they've designed that's featured in this booth. AE University is their training program.
AE Shield Logo Design
AE Shield is first software product AE Solutions has created. The inspiration for this design came from the icon of the original logo turned into a stronger, metallic design on top of a 3 dimensional shield to show strength and confidence in a product that will protect your systems.
AE Shield Full Page Ad
This ad shows some sample screens from the program and the health meter tells that this software will keep your systems running safely. This ran in trade magazines.
The Montessori School of Anderson was a growing school and they needed a new brand to show it.
Montessori Logo Design
This logo was challenging. As much as we love teachers, they are too smart for us! Our goal was to show that the Montessori way of teaching took the whole child into consideration. I was fascinated that they use colors to teach English and shapes to teach social studies. This "full circle" design was fun and identifiable.
Capital Campaign Brochure/Pocket Folder
This piece was designed for the capital campaign to raise money to build the high school. "Graduating Full Circle" was our concept to show that this high school would complete their program of lower education-from 18 months through 12th grade. We combined the brochure and pocket folder into one piece with a pocket in the back for sponsorship opportunities.
Montessori School Large Brochure
Montessori is a wonderful learning method. We were inspired by the way the use colors to teach grammer. Each subject plays off of each other. It's like a ripple effect...
Head Quarters Salon and Day Spa was established in 1980. They have a strong and lasting presence in our city. Located just North of downtown Greenville, SC, they're building is as unique as their attitude about beauty. Where some salons are kinda stuffy, HQ offers a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere for every walk of life.
Head Quarters Original Brand
We started working with Head Quarters in 2002. They had a basic logo that they were happy with, so we started with a "circle" concept to carry the brand through. This is one of our signature concepts. To us things that reinforce the brand, are the elements from the logo that you can subtly add to the marketing pieces. This brochure of services and folded business card that also had the basic list of services did just that.
HQ Services Brochure 2005
This client loves change! This is the services brochure we designed in 2005. the cover collage and lighter colors gave her a fresh new look that invigorated her salon. with 100s of offerings, these small, but unique brochures still fit into the square folders we had originally designed.
HQ New Logo
In 2009, this client decided she wanted a new brand. The old "HQ" was too stiff and had lived out it's life (we did not design the original HQ). We did design the font however and made the decision to keep the font as we had originally designed it, but redesign the icon. One criteria we have is that the icon be strong, unique and able to stand on it's own. This design lends itself to work with and without the oval. The oval gives it kind of a "thumb print" concept to communicate just how unique every client is to them and the "HQ" letters reveal their signature on their work.
Peacock Flourish
Peacocks are beautiful and unique. We wanted to give her a design element as a secondary concept. This design lends itself to use as a background element and creates a nice texture for their marketing pieces.
2009 Services Brochure
This new design incorporates the peacock design. With professional photography, the new brochure has beautiful interior photos of the salon. We made the size bigger to show off the new photos. Each person who comes in requesting a list of services receives this large showpiece of services that makes a nice impression.
This company has a unique set of services, Move Management, Organizing, Design and Expert Staging. We were able to take all of their services are create a name that says it all," mode". They are there for clients every step of the way, when moving. They simplify the process by arranging packing and storage of extra items, they arrange and schedule the move, supervise the move into the new home and through a detailed plan, they determine what current pieces will be used where in the new home and which items should be sold of discarded. Mode's organizing services help clean out homes and create a neat, well-organized space to live in, whether moving or not. Their design services are top-notch and as staging homes has become the new "feng shui", they can transform a room and completely change the look of it. We enjoyed working with them to create this fun and creative brand.
Mode Logo design
We wanted to keep this design simple and modern. The overlapping circles show an integration of all of their services. These colors can be changed in the future to meet the colors of the day. The lower case "e" is symbolic of the European styles incorporated into their designs.
mode Small Brochure
This 4 panel brochure reveals the meaning of the acronym "mode". We described each service in detail and listed examples so potential customers could understand just how it applies to them. Our tagline, "a simpler way to get things done" had a payoff on the inside fold that says, "so easy. so beautiful. so affordable." so customers can see that it's affordable.
mode Website Design
Furman University calls us when they have fun jobs! They have an in-house design department, but have the occasional large job that they need help on. We have found them to be wonderful to work with and often have the parameters laid out before the project begins.
Hartness Organ Brochure
The Hartness organization donated an organ to Furman University and they needed a brochure showcasing the organ and the events of celebration taking place over the months after installation. Concerts and interesting facts about the organ fill this very tall, skinny brochure. We chose this size to emphasize the beautiful pipes on this huge organ.
New Student Brochure
This brochure was designed to help new students learn how to integrate themselves into the school and what opportunities they should be looking for each year. It shows them how to set goals and what expectations they should have during their years there.
